China: International Training Workshop on Bamboo Handicraft - Bamboo Weaving and furniture processing technologies

INBAR training experts and consultants will cooperate with Sichuan Qingshen China Bamboo Art City (Herein after called the Bamboo Art City) in organizing this training workshop. The Bamboo Art City was entitled by the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Civilization, and was managed by the Yunhua Bamboo Touring Co. Ltd.. The company has experiences and expertise in providing international training on bamboo handicraft processing techniques. INBAR identified the location of the company - the Bamboo Art City in Qingshen County, Sichuan Province - as its bamboo handicraft training base in 2000, and the company was identified as INBAR's training partner. Workshop structure Lectures will be given in combination with internships under the directions of masters, the later is the major part of the workshop. Product designs will be studies through field studies to the Museum in China Bamboo Weaving Art City and the local furniture market.
