The International Workshop on Prefabricated Bamboo Module Housing
The Workshop will develop the program on producing prefabricated bamboo module housing and parts based on the recent research and achievements in bamboo construction materials. Two kinds of bamboo module houses will be addressed during the workshop: (1) pack-flat bamboo buildings for the emergency relief and temporary use targeting mostly disastrous areas and developing markets and (2) advanced high-end residential housing with bamboo panels components targeting mostly the developed markets. Invited are mainstream architects from Europe and US, international NGOs, governmental officials, manufacturers, developers, entrepreneurs, investors, forest researchers, academia and other interested organizations and individuals.
