Growing, Harvesting and Using Temperate Bamboos

This week long Bamboo immersion experience will seek to empower and prepare those wishing to grow, select, cure and utilize hardy Bamboos. There will be a mix of grove time, lecture/discussions, demonstrations, supervised practice and finally a project of your choice. Long time Bambusero Adam Turtle will lead this hands-on workshop assisted and supplemented by visiting instructors. Safe and effective tool use and a comprehensive understanding of Bamboo-ness will be emphasized. Participation price is being held at our 2002 rates. Please register early – pre-registration is required! Deadline for registrations (by mail, check or money-order only) is May 1, 2006. This course is limited to 20 paying participants on a first-come basis. Two non-paying word-trade or scholarship positions will be awarded for each course – applicants for which should send a letter to EARF giving background, intended use of the training and reasons for being considered. Please include a phone number and the best time for us to call you.
