2007 International Workshop on Bamboo
Major themes of conference include Sustainable Development of Bamboo Industry and Livelihoods: ■ Protection of bamboo diversity and breeding ■ Theory and practice of sustainable management of bamboo ■ Bamboo and eco-environment ■ Processing and utilization of bamboo ■ Social, economic and policy issues of bamboo-producing areas ■ Bamboo culture Registration: The registration fee is US$300 for each of the workshop participants and US$150 for his/her accompanying person. In addition, for the night trip, each person will be charged US$150. Both cash and check are acceptable at the reception desk on the registration day. Accomodations: Rooms will be reserved for participants at Qiangwang Hotel in Lin’an City. The hotel offers double-bedded rooms at US$60 per room per night. Our workshop participants will be offered a discount at US$50 for each room per night. The accommodation charge is not included in the registration fee. Additional post-conference tours will be offered. Details forthcoming. Mid-November is the transit of autumn to winter in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. The average temperature is about 15~20℃.
